SPD finally agrees on government team

The SPD has finally agreed on its governing team. "Experienced figures from federal and state politics will meet new faces who represent the generational change in the SPD," reads a statement by party leaders Lars Klingbeil, Saskia Esken, and General Secretary Matthias Miersch, which was made available to the German Press Agency. The SPD's nine cabinet positions will be filled by six women and three men; no names have yet been announced.
