Three bodies discovered in Vogtland

Three bodies were found in Neumark in Vogtland, including two children. The police have not yet released any further information about the dead.

Three bodies have been found in the municipality of Neumark in Vogtland. Two of them are children, a police spokeswoman said. The police were alerted by a witness on Tuesday morning. Experts from the Zwickau Police Department and the State Criminal Police Office are on site in the Schönbach district.

The three people have not yet been clearly identified. The police therefore did not want to give any further information about them - including whether they might be a family. The exact circumstances of their deaths also remain unclear for the time being.

The Vogtland lies in the border region of Saxony, Thuringia, Bavaria and the Czech Republic.
