This morning, isolated thunderstorms with strong gusts of wind are already expected in the northwest and in the Alps, according to the forecast from the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach. Over the course of the day, showers and thunderstorms will spread across central Germany, extending into the east and northern Bavaria. Heavy rain, hail, and gusty winds are possible during the midday and afternoon.

According to the German Weather Service (DWD), isolated, short-lived tornadoes cannot be ruled out in the region of the North German Plain up to the northern edge of the low mountain ranges. However, there was no warning in place this morning. The thunderstorm front will shift southeastward in the evening. Temperatures will range between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius throughout the day.
