Florence, 7 July 2025 – «I feel more confidence every day when I am among the Tuscans. And when people tell you: 'Continue', you don't need medals. You need to be among the people, do things and choose even when it is difficult. 10 points more than the election 5 years ago shows that good governance, the team and closeness pay off» . The governor of Tuscany, Eugenio Giani , does not hide his satisfaction with the data emerging from the Governance Poll ranking on the approval rating of mayors and governors, carried out by the IST Noto poll survey for the Sole 24 Ore.

Giani climbs to fourth place with 58.5% of the votes - first among the center-left regional presidents - compared to 52% of yes votes in 2024 when he placed tenth and an improvement of 10 points compared to 48.6% on the day of the election (in 2020).

The first among the governors is Massimiliano Fedriga (Friuli Venezia Giulia) ahead of Zaia (Veneto) and Ciro (Piedmont).

Among the mayors, Marco Fioravanti (Ascoli Piceno, 70%) is the winner of the Governance Poll 2025. In second place is Michele Guerra (Parma, 65%), while in third place are tied Gaetano Manfredi (Naples, 61%) and Vito Leccese (Bari, 61%).

Among the Tuscan mayors , Tomasi (centre-right, Pistoia) stands out with 57% and a growth of 5.5% compared to the elections. Following (remaining in the Tuscans) are the mayors Pardini (centre-right, Lucca); Fabio (centre-right, Siena); Conti (centre-right, Pisa); Persiani (centre-right, Massa), all growing. Then Sara Funaro , centre-left mayor of Florence in 34th place and clearly declining (55%, -5.6% on 2024, when she was elected). Salvetti (centre-left, Livorno) follows, slightly growing; Colonna (centre-right, Grosseto) is declining, as is Ghinelli from Arezzo.

Obviously, Prato is missing, given the resignation of Mayor Bugetti following the judicial investigation into corruption.
