The update on the operations for the five abrogative questions. Everything is proceeding normally at the polling stations set up in schools in each province. At 12, 10.30% of those entitled to vote had gone to vote. In La Spezia it is around 19%

Florence, June 8, 2025 – The 7:00 PM turnout in Tuscany for the five abrogative referendums is 21.6%. This is recorded at the polling stations where voting operations continue regularly. Polling stations that are set up mostly in schools of all levels in all provinces. At the Italian level, turnout is around 15%.

Voting will continue until 11pm on Sunday 8 June . Voting operations will resume on Monday 9 from 7am to 3pm and then close definitively. The Ministry of the Interior will follow the voting operations and manage the turnout of data, also thanks to the public portal Eligendo where Italian data can be found.

At that point the counting will begin. The 12 o'clock survey had shown a Tuscany in double figures: the turnout was in fact 10.30%, while in Emilia Romagna it was 10.93%. Two of the regions where the most votes were cast. Remember that for the referendum to be valid, 50% + 1 of those entitled to vote must go to vote. Remember that on these election days, people are also voting for the run-offs of the administrative elections.

Tuscany has no municipalities voting in this case. As for the referendum, the Tuscan turnout is the highest in Italy among the regions. The turnout of Emilia Romagna is also high, but it stops just above 20%. As for the province of La Spezia, here too it is around 20%.

But here is the final turnout province by province at 7pm

Florence 26.89%

Meadow 21.37%

Pistoia 19.77%

Arezzo 18.62%

Siena 22.25%

Lucca 18.8%

Pisa 22.45%

Leghorn 23.66%

Grosseto 17.14%

As can be seen, the province with the highest participation in the referendum in Tuscany is Florence , which is almost 27%. Second place for Livorno , with over 23% of those eligible to vote already gone to vote and Prato with 21.37%. They are also the three provinces whose capitals are center-left led. The lowest figure is recorded in Grosseto, where just over 17% of those eligible to vote went to vote.
