An evolution
Prato, July 9, 2025 - The Prato leg of the Italian Drifting Championship, held over the weekend in the Fiera area on Viale Marconi, concluded with a victory for Michele Landolfi . In the Pro category, he finished ahead of Luca Fuschini and Riccardo Tonali . A large crowd gathered on the banks of the Bisenzio River to watch the cars perform their moves at night (this year's Prato leg saw a record number of entries). These attendances confirmed the bond between the Prato area and the sport of drifting, which, along with the Italian Cup and the national championship, has visited the city for the third consecutive year.
The Pro2 category also took to the stage: Carlo Negri won this stage, followed on the podium by Matteo Lazzaroni and Marcello Peli . Finally, the Italian Street Open Challenge saw Jacopo Cravero triumph, ahead of Federico Nieri and Artur Haritonov . The two-day Prato Drifting event was also supported by the sponsors who supported the organization: outside the race area, Montebianco Costruzioni with drones filming the championship from above, Cap Overtech, Guidoni, the University of Florence – Department of Industrial Engineering with the Formula Student project, Estra, Aurora Color, Expo Service, Bi Auto, and Qn La Nazione. "The passion for this sport is confirmed in the city," emphasizes Claudio Bigiarini, director of the Automobile Club of Prato. "So many drivers, so many fans, so much entertainment. In short, a weekend of 360° sport. We want to thank all the organizations that supported us and the championship organizers for choosing us as a stop on the national championship again this year."
