Inter scored seven goals against the Under 23s in their first match, with Bonny and Luis Henrique also on target.

Chivu's Inter Milan's first outing of the season ended with a 7-2 rout after a week of intense training. Seven goals, plenty of chances, but also a few defensive blunders—all within reason, considering it was just a family outing against the U23 team, who will be playing in Serie C for the first time next season.
Attack with Bonny and LautaroIn the first half, which featured numerous chances on both sides, Chivu started with his classic 3-5-2 formation, with Darmian, De Vrij, and Bastoni in defense, Dumfries and Carlos Augusto on the wings, Asllani in the dugout alongside Sucic and Mkhitaryan, and fellow new arrival Bonny partnering Lautaro in attack. Surprisingly, the U23s took the lead in the 9th minute through Spinaccè , but Chivu's team responded immediately, equalizing within four minutes thanks to an own goal from Konate (12') and then turning the score around with Bonny 's first Inter goal (16'), who was quick to tap in his own shot, which had been parried by the keeper.

After a couple of good chances for Lautaro and Dumfries, a mistake by the Dutchman allowed Mosconi to equalize (29'). The first team took the lead again in the 32nd minute with a penalty converted by Asllani for a foul on Bonny, before the first half ended with a 4-2 scoreline thanks to Lautaro in the 42nd minute, who controlled a pass from Sucic and chipped the ball past Melgrati.
Luis Henrique also scoredIn the second half (Chivu made all eleven substitutions at half-time), the fifth goal arrived in the 50th minute, with Pio Esposito scoring from close range following an assist from Dimarco on the left. A quarter of an hour later (64') Luis Henrique scored the sixth goal with a powerful long-range right-footer just under the crossbar. The final goal to make it 7-2 came in the 90th minute, with Calhanoglu finding the bottom corner with a low right-footed strike from distance. Sebastiano Esposito, increasingly close to joining Cagliari, did not take part in the friendly: the striker will move to Sardinia on a permanent basis for a fee of approximately six million euros.
