Promotion, Procida restarts with ambition: Mimmo Citarelli returns to the bench

Procida Football raises the curtain on the new season with a strong and clear signal: we start again with enthusiasm and with an experienced technical guide. The red and white club entrusts the bench to Mimmo Citarelli, a name that needs no introduction on the island.

After the initial difficulties of last season, the team of president Lubrano managed to achieve the goal of salvation thanks to the meticulous work of Franco Cibelli. Now, for him, a new chapter opens: he will take on the role of technical director, ready to put his knowledge and passion at the service of the group.

Citarelli, who has already met the team and managers, was welcomed with the warmth reserved for those who are at home in Procida, in the hearts and in the sporting memory of the fans. “For us, Mimmo is a Procida coach in every respect,” declared President Lubrano, “even though he lives in Forio with his Fatima, his career speaks our language. We recognize his respect, trust and, above all, sincere affection.”

Alongside the coach, the staff that will accompany him in this new adventure has been confirmed: Simone Lubrano will be the assistant coach, Gianni Mazziotti will take care of the athletic preparation, while Giorgio Scotto will take care of the goalkeepers. A well-oiled group, ready to work with dedication and competence.

In the meantime, while we wait for the market to officially open on June 30, the Procida team has clear ideas: the light in the midfield will still be Giò Cibelli, the true beacon of the red and white game, while the Costagliola brothers will represent the sharpest offensive weapons available to Citarelli.
