The Misericordia-Maestripieri Memorial Relay. Photos and winners.

Cireglio (Pistoia), July 18, 2025 – An evening of great sport and participation enlivened the small village of Campiglio, where 51 teams of three runners competed in the traditional 3-kilometer Relay of the Misericordia–Memorial Sandro Mastripieri Campiglio, organized by the Circolo Arci and the Misericordia di Campiglio in collaboration with the Silvano Fedi ASD. The setting is the evocative "Valle del Serpente" (Snake Valley), so named for the road that, seen from above, gently winds through the hills like the coils of a snake. As is tradition, Sandro Mastripieri's family generously oversaw the awards ceremony and a sumptuous convivial dinner, which welcomed all participants at the end of the race. We are in the heart of the first hills leading to Le Piastre and Abetone, symbolic places for many runners, full of charm and sporting glory. And it is precisely in this context that the memory of Fiorello Mastripieri, a beloved and unforgettable figure in Tuscan running, is renewed. For years, he promoted and organized the "Corsa nella valle del serpente" event, leaving a legacy of enthusiasm and passion that still unites participants today. Fiorello now rests beside the race course, a testament to a bond that transcends time. The event continues to attract teams from all over Tuscany, thanks to the high level of competition, the engaging atmosphere, and the extraordinary number of prizes on offer. A relay race that, every year, reawakens the adrenaline and competitive spirit of the runners. Official photo shoot by ETS Regalami un sorriso .
