Limp Biskit bassist Sam Rivers dies at 48

The band Limp Biskit announced the death of their bassist, Sam Rivers , at the age of 48, via social media, with a message in which they described him as a 'being of light'.
On the band's account, they wrote that Sam 'transmitted magic not only through his music, but also with his personality.'

“ Today we lost our brother. Our bandmate. Our heartbeat. Sam Rivers wasn't just our bassist, he was pure magic . The pulse beneath every song, the calm in the chaos, the soul in the sound,” their message reads.
Along with Fred Durst, Sam Rivers was a key player in the formation of the Metal band, and they were later joined by John Otto to give life to Limp Biskit.

“Sam brought a light and a rhythm that could never be replaced. His talent was effortless, his presence unforgettable, his heart enormous. He was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of human being . A true legend of legends,” they added.
Regarding the cause of death, it is known that Sam Rivers suffered from some liver disease, as well as some type of cancer, although it is unknown if one of these conditions was the cause of his death.
