US halts trafficking of 400 weapons to cartels in Mexico: Ambassador Ronald Johnson

MEXICO CITY (apro).- The United States ambassador to Mexico, Ronald Johnson, celebrated the seizure of hundreds of weapons destined for criminal groups in Mexico, the result of a joint operation between authorities from both countries.
Through his social media accounts, the diplomat highlighted the results of the operation carried out in Laredo, Texas, which halted arms trafficking that was expected to cross into Mexican territory.
“Another example of how nations working together delivers results for the people. U.S. authorities seized 400 weapons headed to Mexico,” Johnson wrote on his X account, formerly known as Twitter.
The ambassador also reported that U.S. authorities arrested those responsible for the smuggling.
"Weapons that won't fall into the hands of criminals. Shared security in action. Delivering results," he added.
