Carolina Mejía visits cemeteries and sends a message to parents

Mayor Carolina Mejía toured the National Cemetery on Avenida Máximo Gómez and Cristo Redentor this Sunday to verify the condition of these cemeteries , in preparation for Father's Day .
"During these years that I have had the responsibility of leading this city, we have also paid special attention to our cemeteries ," he explained, according to a press release.
In this regard, he said that throughout this time, the mayor's office has had to resolve situations that arise in these locations, which has been possible thanks to the excellent team that supports it.
- “We strive to keep both Christ the Redeemer and this Máximo Gómez cemetery in order ,” he added.
"The truth is that we are very satisfied with the care , attention , and work that has been done here," he said, noting that sidewalks have been restored and significant pruning and tree planting has been done to preserve the cemetery.
Good conditionsAccording to the statement, during the tour , the municipal executive noted the good condition in which the council maintains these cemeteries . She also congratulated all the parents who came to greet her.
"In keeping with that, several of those attending these cemeteries thanked Carolina for the good conditions in which she maintains these places," the document says.
Over the past few weeks, the National District Mayor's Office has reinforced the renovation of the main cemeteries to ensure they are in optimal condition for the large number of mourners who will attend this Sunday's holiday .
Carolina took advantage of the press conference to send a congratulatory message to fathers on their day, asking that they be missed by those blessed enough to have them alive.
"I wish all the fathers of the Dominican Republic God bless them and a wonderful day, today and always," he said.
