I am very proud to continue my father's legacy: Amaury Vergara

After Jorge Vergara's (RIP) dream is getting closer to becoming a reality, Chivas president Amaury Vergara said he is proud to continue his father's legacy by bringing a World Cup, once again, to Guadalajara .
“I feel very proud to continue my father's legacy. Both as a family and as a club, we are ready. Honestly, Club Guadalajara's organization for the World Cup is impeccable. I feel choked up, words falter, thinking about my father's vision of hosting another World Cup in Jalisco, but for the first time in our stadium. And we are ready for the challenge. I assure all the fans that they will have an unforgettable experience and that it will be one of the best series of the World Cup,” he said.
Likewise, Vergara Zatarain emphasized that she hopes her father's work as the man responsible for bringing another World Cup to Guadalajara will be honored .
“First of all, I'm very proud of him. As I feel right now, and as I tell him in some way, I'm very proud. I truly admire him as a son, as a businessman, and as a leader. Jorge Vergara is a wonderful man, and I truly hope this city honors him with this recognition as one of the people responsible for bringing the World Cup to the city; I say this with great pride,” he added.
Finally, he revealed that they are close to opening the museum in honor of his father at the AKRON Stadium, which will serve as FIFA Hospitality during the World Cup.
“We're about to open the museum. The Jorge Vergara Museum, which will be called 'Joven' and will be a fundamental part of the FIFA Hospitality for the World Cup. It will be open before then; we'll close the museum's activities during the World Cup because it will be used. And after the World Cup, I don't want to give you too much away, but we have a special program planned before the World Cup, related, of course, to world football,” he concluded.
