A nighttime drama in Czechowice-Dziedzice. The shop burned down completely.

The fire was reported to emergency services a few minutes after 1:00 a.m. Numerous fire crews were immediately dispatched to the scene.

The fire spread rapidly, engulfing the building's attic. Firefighters did what they could, but the battle against the blaze proved uneven.

Unfortunately, despite the involvement of more than a dozen fire departments, the building could not be saved. The discount store and its services, such as the bakery and butcher shop, were reduced to ashes.

The morning brought even more sadness. The first employees began arriving at the burned-out building , tears streaming down their faces. "We don't know what's next. Many people have lost their jobs, and the store recently underwent a major renovation," the distraught workers quoted by local news outlets said.

Fortunately, no one was in the building when the fire broke out, so there were no casualties.

The firefighting operation caused significant traffic disruptions. Traugutta and Kasprowicza Streets were closed for several hours.

Investigators and fire experts are now trying to determine the cause of the fire. Was it an electrical fault? Or perhaps deliberate arson? We'll have to wait for answers.
