All because of the love for chives
Where does your love for handball come from?

– My parents have always played sports, maybe not at an exceptionally professional level. My sister is similar. I tried different disciplines. It was volleyball, among others, but it was handball that caught my attention the most. My path was not easy, mainly because of my physical condition. I do not have exceptional ones, so I had to fight hard. I went through all possible levels.

[middle1] In Poland you divided this love between Lublin and Jarosław.

– Well, yes. There were two more years in Koszalin along the way. But I really started in Lublin. A great experience right away, with a bang. I spent four years there. We won promotion to the Super League. I got back into shape.

There was a famous presentation of the team at the market square in Jarosław. At that time, coach Reidar Møistad promised a medal of the Polish Championships.

– I remember that presentation. I remember that assurance. We were a bit shocked because it was a serious declaration. Well, we never talked about it out loud in the locker room. There was a goal, but it was a completely new team. Composed of many players of different nationalities. There was a language barrier, each of us approached training and matches completely differently. We made a great team, we were well prepared for the season, but in the end not all of us could handle the pressure. Especially the young ones. Right at the beginning we lost four matches in a row, until the breakthrough came in Koszalin. I remember that match to this day. We won by one goal...
