The Poles proved more effective. Five minutes before the end of the match, a good shot by Jakub Kamiński from a few meters was brilliantly saved by the goalkeeper. After three more minutes, he did not save Bartosz Slisz's shot. The Pole was standing four meters behind the penalty area line and, unattacked by anyone, could kick even with his eyes closed. He kicked the ball on the ground, hit the bottom corner, ensuring Poland's victory. This was done by the defensive midfielder. The attackers did not have a single dangerous shot.

There is no reason to be happy. The Poles played with such enthusiasm, as if they were working for a serfdom. There was no cohesion again, and in the second half it was hard to tell whether our team was already practicing a defensive game variant, thinking about the match with Finland, or whether they really were unable to take the ball from the opponent to start the action.

The best player in the Polish team was the one who was saying goodbye to the national team: Kamil Grosicki. For half an hour he was driving our actions, passing and shooting. It was his 95th appearance for the national team. He scored 17 goals, 24 of which were scored from his passes.

His farewell had something of a symbol. Wojciech Szczęsny, Łukasz Fabiański, Kuba Błaszczykowski, Łukasz Piszczek, Grzegorz Krychowiak, Kamil Glik, players who gave us joy for several years, had already left. Robert Lewandowski and Piotr Zieliński were not on the pitch. Grosicki is the last of the players who always gave their all, who were a pleasure to watch and who influenced others with their attitude.

There are no such players in the squad today. Even those who play in the top clubs in Europe, when they put on the shirt with the eagle, it is as if they lost something. And the coach is not able to get the best out of them.
