Councillor Maciej Kamiński is independent

Just before the discharge session, on June 16 this year, the Office of the City Council and Cooperation with Housing Estate Management Boards of the City Council in Przemyśl received a rather mysterious letter initialed by the chairman of the PiS Councilors' Club in the City Council in Przemyśl, Rafał Kijanka, with information that the club had four councilors. They were: R. Kijanka, Robert Bal, Bartłomiej Barczak and Paweł Bugera. The absence of Maciej Kamiński and Stanisław Surma in this group gave a lot to think about. Especially when it comes to the former. The letter did not "explain" whether M. Kamiński had resigned or been removed from the club. Let us add that R. Bal and B. Barczak were members of the Association for Przemyśl "Regia Civitas", and until the last local elections in 2024, they ran from the Electoral Committee of Robert Bal's Voters "Przemyśl is Us", where R. Bal was the candidate for president.

So we asked councilor M. Kamiński about this letter.

- It is difficult to comment on it, because nothing comes of it. There are no documents confirming the content of this letter, so I am waiting for it to be supplemented. The fact is, however, that the current PiS councillors' club in the city council is a club in which there are... fewer PiS members than all of its members. I am still a member of Law and Justice. For over 15 years. My actions have been and will continue to be directed at residents and their needs. In fact, the same as Law and Justice, which is always guided by the good of the people of our country, and therefore the city of Przemyśl. For me, nothing changes and I continue to work for the city and its residents.

After this decision, the number of independent Przemyśl councilors increased to five. They are: Maciej Kamiński, Piotr Krzeszowski, Ewa Sawicka, Stanisław Surma and Janusz Zapotocki.
