Russians Attack Bus Carrying Civilians, At Least Nine Dead

At least nine people were killed and four others were injured in a Russian attack on a bus in Sumy Oblast. The vehicle was hit by a drone.
On Saturday morning, in the town of Bilopilla near Sumy in northeastern Ukraine, Russians struck a civilian bus with a drone.
"Medics and rescuers were urgently sent to the scene," wrote Ihor Tkachenko, head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration.

"This is not just another shelling - it is a cynical war crime. The Russian army has once again struck a civilian object, disregarding all norms of international law and humanitarianism," Ukrainian police said in a statement.

The attack came hours after Russia and Ukraine held their first direct peace talks in three years in Istanbul.
