The search for the legendary train has resurfaced thanks to the group Złoty Pociąg 2025 , whose members believe they have located it. However, they are not the first to make such claims.

" Everything changed in 2015 ," Joanna Lamparska, a journalist and popularizer of Lower Silesian history, told National Geographic Polska. "Dreams, legends, and stories were cut to pieces by the 'knife of reporting,' and facts and information emerged that ignited the fire of imagination," she reminds. "We don't know exactly what it is. Legends speak of train cars full of gold and platinum, but we can't really count on that. For us, even interesting documents can be a golden train," she adds.

The Golden Train 2025 search group is using controversial dowsing methods. Criticisms abound , and experts doubt a breakthrough can be made. "Perhaps, if the searchers' claims prove accurate, it will be possible to verify whether dowsing works. This hasn't happened before," comments Joanna Lamparska.

Will there be a breakthrough regarding the gold train? "Hope hasn't really faded yet."

" The Golden Train is a mnemotopos: a bridge that connects generations in Lower Silesia . It preserves the Lower Silesian identity. It also provides many with an opportunity to explore history and learn more about the region," says journalist Joanna Lamparska. "I wouldn't bury this topic, because perhaps some treasure is still waiting to be found. After all, no one has heard of 'finders.' We hear about seekers," she emphasizes.

Lamparska adds that she's a huge supporter of all those searching. "Hope hasn't truly faded in all of us. It's perhaps just a bit dimmed by shyness now," she concludes.
