Three Generations in the Old Slaughterhouse. Meeting of Women of the Sea

This is the first event of its kind. On Friday (June 6), the Euroregion Stara Rzeźnia Culture Centre in Szczecin will host three generations of women of the sea: pioneers, leaders and young dreamers, who will share their reflections on working in the maritime industry. Starting at 6:00 p.m.

The maritime sector is a world full of challenges, opportunities and daily determination. It is also a space that, although dominated by men, is increasingly becoming a place for strong, competent and courageous women. Women who have been changing the face of this industry for years.

During the event "The Power of Generations. Maritime Women of Tomorrow", three generations of women of the sea will be invited to the conversation. The pioneers who were the first to enter the maritime industry will speak out - often alone, without support, but with great passion and determination. They were the ones who trod the paths and with their attitude paved the way for others. Then, the leaders of today will speak out, who today combine professional and personal roles, without giving up on development, responsibility and social involvement. These are women who already know that true leadership is born from authenticity, courage and consistency. Young dreamers who are just starting their journey will also speak out - full of hope, questions and the desire to belong.

The meeting will be an opportunity to take a closer look at how the role of women in the maritime industry has changed – what the trailblazing looked like, what the everyday life of female leaders is like today and what awaits the youngest generation who are just starting down this path.

– Our goal is to give a voice to women who have been shaping and developing the maritime industry for years, as well as to build bridges between generations through conversation, sharing experiences and mutual support – emphasizes the Association of Women in the Maritime Sector “Women Beyond Horizon”, the organizer of the meeting.
