Baltic Neopolis Orchestra celebrates 17th birthday. Birthday concert on Saturday

The organizers of the recently concluded 7th edition of the Szczecin Classic festival invite you to a birthday concert! The program of the "Extraordinary Concert", as part of the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra - Good evening series, includes the first performance of a work by Adam Wesołowski and premiere pieces by Janusz Stalmierski with the participation of double bassist Karol Nasiłowski as a soloist.

Adam Wesołowski's work is an example of a modern approach to composition, which respects tradition but is not afraid to experiment with form, technology and message. The premiere will certainly be accessible to the recipient, and at the same time artistically ambitious. The second premiere is a composition by Janusz Stalmierski, known for his genre and stylistic diversity, a double bass concerto. It is not a frequently encountered repertoire proposal, so it will certainly be an interesting musical experience.

The whole piece will be complemented by the contrasting quartet of Peteris Vasks. It will take listeners on a journey from deep silence and contemplation to dramatic climaxes.

Baltic Neopolis Orchestra is a chamber string orchestra founded in 2008 by a group of young, ambitious artists. Since then, it has gained international recognition, giving hundreds of concerts in almost 30 countries around the world. Its activities include both classical chamber repertoire and avant-garde projects. The orchestra is led by Emilia Goch Salvador - violist and Emanuel Salvador - concertmaster and artistic director. The orchestra regularly performs on prestigious concert stages in Poland and abroad, including in Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Croatia, Greece, Norway, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia and the Philippines.

The birthday concert will take place on May 17th at 7:00 p.m. at Dobre Studio (ul. Traugutta 7f).

The main patron of the concert is the City of Szczecin.
