Media: Kamil Grosicki returns to the Polish national team. Here are the details
Grosicki decided to end his international career during Euro 2024, but he will soon have a unique opportunity to say goodbye to the fans in a match that will certainly remain in the fans' memories for a long time. Coach Michał Probierz does not expect to call him up to the squad for the March qualifying matches, but there will be another opportunity for that.
As revealed by Sport.pl, Grosicki will play in a friendly match against Moldova, which will take place on June 6 at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów. There, on the pitch associated with one of the most iconic photos of the footballer, Grosicki will play 11 minutes – a number that will refer to the number with which he was identified in the national team for years.
Although the Polish Football Association has not yet officially confirmed the meeting with Moldova, everything indicates that the appropriate documents have been signed and the meeting will take place.
Grosicki played 94 matches for the Polish national team, scoring 17 goals and providing 24 assists. His last match with the eagle on his chest was against Austria (1:3) at Euro 2024.
