Dark and Darker Mobile is now called Abyss of Dungeons

Krafton has announced that Dark and Darker Mobile will be renamed Abyss of Dungeons. In addition, the mobile title developed by Bluehole Studio will have a limited soft launch in four more countries, including Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico and Thailand, on June 11, and will feature localization in Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish.
The name of the new game refers to the deep, dark dungeons that serve as the setting for the game, symbolizing one of its core mechanics — exploring the unknown and fighting with all your might to survive. Krafton plans to update the name and logo across the game in the June update.
Abyss of Dungeons had a soft launch in February of this year in the United States and Canada. Since then, Krafton has maintained close communication with North American players, implementing their feedback and introducing new features, such as the PvP Arena mode, PvE Boss Marathon, Soul Stone system and Attribute Tree that can expand your character's growth as you level up.
Focused on player engagement and a commitment to delivering an even more polished gaming experience, as well as continually improving the quality of service, Krafton has chosen to expand the soft launch of Abyss of Dungeons to these four new countries.
“We believe that the new title, Abyss of Dungeons, best conveys the game’s identity, genre-specific characteristics, and unique atmosphere to players. We will continue to listen to player feedback and strive to reflect it in the game,” said Joonseok Ahn, Executive Producer of Abyss of Dungeons.
Abyss of Dungeons is an escape-focused RPG that combines the survival elements of a battle royale with the exploration gameplay of a dungeon crawler. Drawing on Krafton’s extensive experience in the global mobile gaming market, the game has been optimized for mobile devices with intuitive controls tailored for mobile users.
Pre-registration for Abyss of Dungeons can be done on the App Store and Google Play .
