Luís Montenegro promises to help Douro winemakers

“A year ago, I said in Vila Real that we will make agriculture and forests a priority and a strategic sector of our economy. And today I am here to say that we are fulfilling this goal. We came to UTAD to present our plan for forests, we have come several times to support those who work in agriculture, livestock farming, agro-industry and agro-tourism. And we are looking at those who cultivate vineyards in the Douro and are facing times of great difficulty, that we will not leave them alone, we are watching”, promised the PSD leader, pointing the finger at the opposition, whom he says “does not have a path” for Portugal.

Luís Montenegro believes that pensioners will teach “a great lesson” next Sunday to those he says are the “prophets of doom”.
