Seia Municipality promotes Senior Social Event in Aveiro

The Municipality of Seia is once again promoting the Senior Social Event, an initiative aimed at residents aged 65 or over (or who will reach this age in 2025), retirees and pensioners of the municipality. This year the event is aimed at the city of Aveiro and will take place on the 25th, 26th and 27th of June, with each day reserved for different parishes, providing all participants with a special day of sharing, socialising and joy.

The program includes a boat trip on a moliceiro, a typical and emblematic experience of the city of Aveiro, as well as lunch at the Aveiro Fair and Exhibition Park, where the Eucharist will be celebrated, with musical entertainment and dancing by the musical group Irmãos Coragem and the symbolic cutting of the celebratory cake. Transport and the tour are provided free of charge by the Municipality.

Registrations are open until May 30th, at the Parish Councils in the area where interested parties reside.

This gathering, held annually, is one of the actions promoted by the local authority with the aim of strengthening social ties, combating isolation and valuing the experience and participation of the senior population in community life.
