Doctor is kidnapped and bandits are arrested after spending R$20,000 in a shopping mall in Greater São Paulo

The Military Police of São Paulo arrested two men and apprehended three minors suspected of kidnapping a doctor in Osasco, in Greater São Paulo, on the night of last Wednesday, the 11th. The group was located after some of its members went to a shopping mall and spent more than R$20 thousand of the victim's money.
The doctor was lured to the criminals after arranging a meeting through a dating app. He was taken hostage and taken to the Flamenguinho community, in the Piratininga neighborhood, where he was held hostage. The suspects' identities have not been revealed.
While under the control of the criminals, the victim had to make bank transfers to the kidnappers and give them access to his credit cards. Another person is believed to have participated in the kidnapping and is currently on the run, according to the PM.
Members of the group went to Shopping União, in Vila Yara, with the victim's cards and cell phone. The police were called after security guards at the location found the kidnappers' behavior suspicious. According to the police report, the group had spent more than R$20,000 on purchases and fled the mall immediately after leaving.
The agents located the group near the establishment at around 11 am. With them, they found the doctor's belongings, cash, and all the purchases made. They confessed to the crime and indicated the location of their captivity.
At around 3:30 p.m., the police managed to rescue the doctor, who was being held by one of the kidnappers, who was carrying a fake gun. The suspect fled when he noticed the officers arriving. The minors were apprehended and the adults were detained and taken to the 4th Police District of Osasco, where the incident was registered.
