EU. US involvement would worsen conflict

The head of diplomacy of the European Union (EU) considered this Tuesday that a potential involvement of the United States (US) in the conflict between Iran and Israel would only increase the conflict and extend it to the entire Middle East region.
“US involvement would widen the conflict,” EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas told a press conference in Brussels.
After a meeting of the foreign ministers of the 27 EU countries, via videoconference, the representative of the bloc's diplomacy highlighted that Washington has its own approach, warning however that a potential US military involvement would only worsen the situation in the Middle East, and could extend the conflict to the entire region and other parts of the world.
Therefore, Kaja Kallas insisted that it is necessary to resort to diplomacy to stop hostilities between Tel Aviv and Tehran and look for another way to approach the Iranian nuclear issue.
The war between Israel and Iran was triggered in the early hours of June 13 by Israeli bombings of Iranian military and nuclear facilities, killing military leaders, scientists and civilians.
According to the Iranian regime, Israel's attacks killed at least 224 people and injured more than a thousand.
In retaliation, Iran launched successive missile attacks against Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, which according to the Israeli government, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, have already left at least 24 dead.
