Wall Street closes lower on day of Fed chairman warnings

The main indexes on the other side of the Atlantic moved away from the historic highs reached in the previous session and closed the day in negative territory,
The S&P 500 lost 0.55% to 6,656.92 points, the technology-rich Nasdaq Composite fell 0.95% to 22,573.47 points, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.19% to 46,292.78 points.
Some of the world's largest tech companies ended up putting pressure on major indexes. Nvidia lost 2.82% a day after the chipmaker announced a $100 billion investment in OpenAI.
Oracle fell 4.4%. Amazon shares also fell 3%.
On the monetary policy front, Powell said the outlook for the U.S. labor market and inflation faces risks, reiterating his view that Fed policymakers likely face a difficult path ahead as they consider further interest rate cuts.
The price of a barrel of Brent for delivery in November ended this Tuesday on the London futures market up 1.92%, to 67.85 dollars.
