Ace Neto speaks out against Vinicius Júnior

After the goalless draw between Brazil and Ecuador on Thursday (June 5), in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, former player and presenter Neto used social media to harshly criticize the performance of the Brazilian National Team. The match, which marked Carlo Ancelotti's debut as coach, was described by Neto as "shameful", and some athletes were directly targeted by his statements.

According to the commentator, names like Andrey Santos, Gabriel Martinelli and Matheus Cunha were not enough to represent the national team. "Do you think we're going to win the World Cup with Andrey, Martinelli and Matheus Cunha? Do you have any idea who the team that won the fifth World Cup will be? Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo. And there are still people who talk about Rivaldo. I swear, that's ugly. What a shame," Neto said emphatically.

Furthermore, the current Band commentator questioned the performance of Vinicius Jr, who once again failed to score for the Brazilian national team.
