Algarve driver takes 3rd place in the Portuguese Karting Championship

At the age of 12, Algarve driver José Pedro Pinto concluded his debut season in the Junior category of the Portuguese Karting Championship (CPK) with a remarkable record: five podiums in five double rounds, securing 3rd place overall in the competition.
Last Saturday, at the Kartódromo Internacional da Região Oeste in Bombarral, the young driver from Quarteira finished third in the final. Prior to that, he had already reached the podium in Viana do Castelo, Portimão, Palmela, and Braga.
In March, in Viana do Castelo, José Pedro Pinto surprised by taking pole position on a wet track and winning a qualifying heat, signs of a season in which he demonstrated talent and consistency.

"I was happy with how we finished the championship. I felt good all weekend, and after achieving another podium on Saturday, we knew third place in the championship was secure and all we needed to do was finish Sunday's race. It's an excellent result for my first Junior championship, and I want to thank my family and the entire FCK Motorsport team, who have helped me immensely in this development. Congratulations also to my teammate, Afonso (Lopes), on his well-deserved championship title. Now, let's start thinking about the Portuguese Cup," said the driver, thanking his family and the FCK Motorsport team for their support.
