Anjos vs Joana Marques: trial has begun

The comedian's lawyer suggested that the hearing, which is now being held in private, without the media, be held. The lawyer for the duo Anjos responded and alluded to the fact that Joana Marques herself had held a “press conference” before the session. The judge conceded that there was no reason to restrict the audience for the session.
The trial between Nelson and Sérgio Rosado and Joana Marques is about to begin. The session has just begun at the Palace of Justice in Lisbon.
In the audience are also comedians Daniel Leitão (the comedian's husband) and Guilherme Fonseca.
Nelson Rosado, from the duo Anjos, will be the first to testify.
The Rosado brothers are demanding more than 1 million euros from Joana Marques for a joke about a performance of the national anthem. The trial begins this Tuesday. How far can justice go when the target is humor?
The lawsuit against Joana Marques by Anjos reaches court. What is at stake?
Upon arriving at the Palace of Justice in Lisbon, where the first session will take place, the comedian made a short statement to journalists. Joana Marques talks about a “waste of time”, especially for the courts. She says that during this year she has gathered a lot of information and that she will now speak in the appropriate place about the case. In an ironic tone, she says that she hopes that between today and tomorrow it will be discovered what “serious” things the Rosado brothers are alleging. And she guarantees that she will speak to journalists at the end of the trial.
