Beira-Mar youth team moves up to the 1st national division

This morning, Beira-Mar's youth team beat Nacional da Madeira 4-3 in the 18th and final round of the Cristiano Ronaldo Campus Futebol-Estádio, and secured promotion to the national 1st Division. The young “auri-negra” team entered the final round fighting for promotion with Alverca and Moreirense, but with the victory in Funchal they immediately secured promotion to the first division, finishing with 27 points.

João Rodrigues, who scored a hat-trick and was considered the competition's top scorer, and David Doutor scored the goals for Beira-Mar, who, with this victory, return to the 1st Division nine seasons after being relegated to the second tier.
