Filipe Luís confirms Alex Sandro and Jorginho in Flamengo's debut

Coach Filipe Luís gave a press conference this Sunday (15). In addition to giving his version of Gerson's departure, the Flamengo commander guaranteed that left-back Alex Sandro and midfielder Jorginho are related to the duel against Espérance (TUN). The ball rolls this Monday (16), at 10 pm, at Lincoln Financial Field, in the American stadium in Philadelphia.
"It's a privilege to represent Flamengo. We'll really test our strengths to see what level we're at in the world. All the players are available, with the exception of Nico (De La Cruz), so that I can make the decisions," said Filipe Luís.
Alex Sandro is not injured, but he is struggling with muscle fatigue in his thigh. Jorginho was in doubt after joining the club earlier this month and having played very little after an intense season with Arsenal (ENG). The pair will therefore play in the game, but should start on the bench.

Striker Gonzalo Plata was another player who recovered in time. He was out of Fla's last matches, with a bone edema in his knee. In advanced negotiations with Zenit (RUS), midfielder Gerson will also be in the match. Therefore, only midfielder De La Cruz will be out for Filipe Luís' team. The Uruguayan is in the transition phase after recovering from an injury to his left knee and has been training separately.
"All the players, with the exception of Nico, are capable of being starters. They are all available. This is the best news a coach could have. I have all the options to choose from and rack my brains," concluded Filipe Luís.
