Former Athletico player Tiago Nunes signs with Botafogo's rival club in the Libertadores

Tiago Nunes, formerly of Athletico , is the new coach of LDU, from Ecuador. The Ecuadorian club announced the coach on Friday night.

The LDU had been under interim management since the end of last month, when Pablo Sánchez was dismissed from his position.
Tiago Nunes arrives with the mission of leading the club in the Ecuadorian Championship and also in the Libertadores, where they will face Botafogo in the round of 16. In the national championship, LDU is in fourth place.
The coach was in charge of Universidad de Chile. Previously, Tiago Nunes was the coach of Botafogo. Until the reunion with his former club, the coach will have ten games for LDU in the Ecuadorian Championship, which will continue despite the Club World Cup.
The first leg of the Libertadores will take place on August 14th in Rio de Janeiro. The return leg will be on the 21st in Ecuador.
