Lourosa crowned champion of League 3

Lusitânia de Lourosa is the 2024/2025 champion of the 3rd football league, becoming the fourth winner of the competition and succeeding Alverca in winning the trophy that added to the promotion achieved a week ago. The Portuguese team hosted and beat Atlético today by 2-0, with goals from Arsénio and Marcos Valente (52'), and secured the title in the penultimate round of the championship qualifying round, lifting the trophy in front of their fans. It was the second major national achievement for the Lourosa club, 52 years after being crowned national champion of the III Division in the 1972/73 season.
“We finally got what we wanted. Fortunately, it happened today,” said coach Pedro Miguel at the end of the game. The coach admits that, “despite the strong opponents, we believed it was possible and the work and commitment of the group were decisive for this achievement. Congratulations to everyone.”
