Portimão will once again host the Beach Ultimate World Championship.

Praia da Rocha, in Portimão , will host the Beach Ultimate World Championship between November 16th and 22nd, bringing together more than 2300 athletes from around the world and three Portuguese teams in competition.
The competition kicks off on Sunday the 16th at 10:30 am, with the Portuguese team facing Japan, and the finals are scheduled for the 21st and 22nd. During the week, the beach area of Praia da Rocha will be divided into 20 playing fields.
According to Pedro Vargas, president of the Portimão Ultimate Practitioners Club (CPUP), this championship “is a unique opportunity to show the world the best that the city has to offer, but above all, to showcase the beauty and values of this sport – athleticism, spirit, gender equality, community, inclusivity, sustainability and fun”.
This competition is organized by the CPUP and the World Flying Disc Federation and is a platform to showcase the best this sport has to offer, since the goal for 2032 is the integration of Beach Ultimate into the Brisbane Olympic Games program.
