Three Portuguese tennis players eliminated in the first round of the Faro Ladies Open.

Milla Sequeira, Sara Lança and Maria Beatriz Teixeira were eliminated in the first round of the Faro Ladies Open, leaving Portuguese representation to Analu Freitas, who, due to the rain, will only play today at 10:30 am at the Faro Tennis and Padel Center.
In a match delayed by rain, Milla Sequeira (ranked 1296th in the WTA rankings ) lost to Italian Samira De Stefano (ranked 363rd), 6-0 and 6-2, after a three-hour break during the first set.
This was followed by the defeat of Algarve native Maria Beatriz Teixeira (without a professional ranking) against Russian Erika Andreeva (ranked 263rd, but in the top 60 a year ago and recent champion of an ITF W75 tournament).
To close out the day, with the use of artificial lighting, Sara Lança (1427th) was eliminated by Yasmine Kabbaj (421st), by 6-2 and 6-1.
The remaining matches were won by Lithuanian Justina Mikulskyte (222nd), the top seed, and Russian Milana Zhabrailova (675th).
