A 9-year-old scooter rider was injured in a traffic accident in Tikhvin

The police are investigating a traffic accident in Tikhvin. A minor scooter rider was injured, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region reported on its Telegram channel.

The accident occurred at 1:55 p.m. on Karl Marx Street in Tikhvin. There, a 30-year-old driver driving a Lada Vesta hit a 9-year-old boy. The child was riding a scooter across the road at a red light. As a result, the boy was hospitalized in a moderate condition.

Earlier, MK v Leningradoblasti reported that a truck overturned on the Sortavala highway, injuring the driver. According to preliminary data, the truck driver lost control.
