Free Sunday awaits visitors to all sites of the Novgorod Museum-Reserve

Tomorrow, May 18, the Novgorod State Museum-Reserve will be open to the public for free. Traditionally, this is timed to coincide with International Museum Day. In addition, the main Novgorod museum is celebrating the 160th anniversary of its foundation (recall that the starting point was the creation of the Museum of Antiquities under the Novgorod Provincial Statistical Committee in 1865).
It should be noted that the Novgorod Museum-Reserve currently occupies more than 70 hectares of territory, has 9 branches, 133 buildings and structures, including 116 cultural heritage sites, 26 of which are architectural monuments with monumental painting dating back to the 12th–19th centuries. The Novgorod Museum-Reserve currently owns 13 of the 37 monuments and ensembles of Veliky Novgorod and its environs included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
