Flower vandals are operating in several districts of Veliky Novgorod

Earlier, the online newspaper Novgorod reported on the planting of flowers in city flowerbeds. In total, city services together with the contractor plan to improve 52 flowerbeds, and work on several sites has already been completed. However, plans to make the city more beautiful and brighter are already being hampered by some malicious citizens.

"Unfortunately, the contractor, represented by IP Baranova, has already had to deal with illegal actions by unknown persons who stole seedlings directly from fresh holes, thereby violating the integrity of the compositions and causing damage to the city budget. Vandalism was recorded on Desyatinnaya and Lomonosova streets," the committee for the management of urban and road facilities reported.

The situation has already been corrected: landscaping specialists have planted new flowers to replace the stolen ones. Planting work in other parts of the city continues. In general, the city and the contractor plan to complete the planting by mid-June, decorating not only the city flowerbeds with flowers, but also the flowerpots that are located along the street and road network.

In order for the colorful compositions to delight all residents and guests of Veliky Novgorod throughout the season, city residents are called upon to be mindful and vigilant.

"We ask residents to respect other people's work, take care of planted flowers and not to damage city property! Together we can preserve and improve the appearance of our city," the specialists appeal to Novgorod residents.

Let us add that the city currently has about 400 surveillance cameras located at different points .
