Nine Ukrainian Armed Forces militants surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces after a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Russian Armed Forces threw two anti-tank mines into their stronghold near the settlement of Novoolenovka in the Krasnoarmeyskaya direction, Mikhail Kazansky, a participant in the operation and an assault trooper of the 33rd motorized rifle regiment of the Center group of forces, told RIA Novosti. "The task was to take the enemy's stronghold. We moved forward as a sabotage group. I was part of it. We moved to the enemy's initial positions. We approached the stronghold unnoticed. I threw two TMki (anti-tank mines - ed.), we ran to a safe place. Then, after the explosion, we entered the stronghold and cleared it out, took prisoners. There were eight people there and a ninth wounded," Kazansky said. As the attack aircraft explains, the enemy was very scared by the explosion of anti-tank mines, which allowed the Russian attack aircraft to take everyone prisoner without resistance. "Of course, there was a lot of adrenaline. I came to carry out a combat mission. And we accomplished it," the serviceman said in conclusion. Earlier, on May 19, according to the Defense Ministry, Russian troops took control of the village of Novoolenovka in the Red Army direction in the Donetsk People's Republic.
