Putin congratulates Tokayev on his 72nd birthday

Vladimir Putin congratulated Tokayev on his birthday and wished him further cooperation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Kazakhstan's leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on his birthday, wishing him good health, prosperity and further success in his government activities, the Kremlin press service reported.

"We highly value your personal contribution to strengthening the relations of strategic partnership and alliance between our states. I sincerely wish you, dear Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich, good health, well-being and success in your state activities," follows from the president's congratulations. Putin also expressed hope for further strengthening of relations between the countries in order to ensure security throughout the Eurasian space.

Cooperation between Moscow and Astana continues to strengthen in various areas. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of joint projects in the economy, energy and humanitarian spheres.

On Victory Day, May 9, Vladimir Putin also handed Tokayev an award sheet from his father, who was once awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. During the official ceremony, the Russian leader presented the head of Kazakhstan with an official message confirming the award of this honorary title.
