Senator from Novgorod region organized a trip to the capital for 20 schoolchildren from the Novgorod hinterland

Recently, 20 schoolchildren from the secondary school in the village of Moshenskoye in the Novgorod Region visited Moscow at the invitation of Federation Council member Elena Pisareva. The senator organized a very busy program for them.
The group went straight from the train to the Alexander Garden. Then the schoolchildren went on an excursion to the Federation Council. In the meeting room, the children were greeted by senators and personally by Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko. The acquaintance with Moscow continued after lunch with a tour of the Moscow Kremlin. The children learned, for example, that one of the oldest mechanical tower clocks on the Spasskaya Tower has a diameter of more than 6 meters, which is comparable to a metro tunnel.
" No one was left indifferent by the world-famous symbols of Moscow and Russia — St. Basil's Cathedral and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. A fascinating panorama opened up before the children from the observation deck of Vorobyovy Gory. At the end of the program, the children visited the Feat of the People exhibition of the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Gora. This is an embodied story that allowed the children to better understand the scale of the heroism of the defenders of the Brest Fortress, learn about the hardships of the evacuation of civilians and industry, feel the tragedy of crippled Novgorod, think about the feat of soldiers and nurses on the front line, women and children left in the rear, working together without sleep and food for our Victory ," Elena Pisareva said on her VKontakte page.
