The nuclear submarine Arkhangelsk fired a Kalibr cruise missile at a coastal target, the Russian Defense Ministry's Telegram channel reports.
The launch was carried out from the Barents Sea at the Chizha test site in the Arkhangelsk region, and the distance to the position exceeded 600 kilometers. The shooting was carried out as part of combat training activities.
In March, Russian President Vladimir Putin boarded the cruiser. The submarine is the third serial ship in the line of multi-purpose submarines of Project 885M "Yasen-M". It will be a carrier of all types of naval missile weapons, including cruise missiles "Tsirkon" , "Onyx" and "Kalibr".
