On the night of Friday, September 12, temporary flight restrictions were introduced at airports in four Russian cities at once. They are in effect at the airports of St. Petersburg, Ivanovo, Pskov and Yaroslavl, Rosaviatsiya reported.
“The airports of Ivanovo (Yuzhny), Pskov, Pulkovo, and Yaroslavl (Tunoshna) have introduced temporary restrictions on the receipt and release of aircraft,” the department’s official representative, Artem Korenyako, clarified on his Telegram channel.
Temporary restrictions are necessary to ensure flight safety.
Korenyako also added that restrictions on the use of airspace in the Leningrad Region affected the possibility of flights to Kaliningrad. In this regard, adjustments to the flight schedule are possible at Khrabrovo Airport.
Earlier, Pulkovo Airport warned of possible adjustments to its schedule due to the “Carpet” in the Leningrad Region.
