A taekwondo athlete from Dagestan won gold at the European Championship.

A young taekwondo athlete from Dagestan, Amirali Kadyrov, won a gold medal at the European Championship.

At the competition held in Athens, the Dagestani athlete became the best among young men aged 12-14 in the up to 33 kilogram category.

Earlier this year, Amirali, who trains at the Khasavyurt Sports School of the Olympic Reserve named after Shamil Umakhanov, won silver at the World Championships.
