Astrakhan's Volgar snatched a draw in a match with Sibir

Yuri Yukhnevich's team escaped defeat 4 minutes before the end of regular time.

In the 5th round of the Russian Football Championship among teams of the Gold Group, Division A, 2nd League, Volgar hosted Novosibirsk's Sibir on its home field.

Astrakhan had territorial and game advantage throughout the match, but the visitors opened the scoring. In the 67th minute, Bilal Bilalov scored against Volgar goalkeeper Vladislav Yampolsky.

However, the team from the Caspian capital still managed to get at least a draw in the end. In the 86th minute, Dmitry Lesnikov, after a pass from Kirill Kolesnichenko, restored parity – 1:1.

With 5 points, Volgar is in 8th place in the tournament table. In the 6th round on August 24, the Astrakhan team will play in Pyatigorsk with the local Mashuk-KMV.

But even before that, on August 20, Yuri Yukhnevich’s team will have a home match in the Russian Cup against the capital’s Chertanovo.
