Chechen Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Akhmat Kadyrov announced on his Telegram channel that Sheikh-Mansur Khabibulaev won the international combat sambo tournament, becoming the first seven-time world champion in the sport.

Khabibulaev competed in the 64 kg weight category and defeated Uzbek sambo wrestler Oybek Soliev in the final bout.

"This success is a source of pride not only for our republic but for the entire country. I sincerely congratulate our athlete on this outstanding achievement and wish him continued success in his sport!" wrote Akhmat Kadyrov, thanking the champion's coaches for their hard work and dedication.

It was previously reported that young Kislovodsk football players became champions of the Stavropol Territory.
