Since the beginning of the year, seven Tambov residents have been awarded the title of "Master of Sports of Russia". General data based on orders of the Russian Ministry of Sports for January, February, March and April were published by the regional Ministry of Sports.

The titles were given to: Alexander Sedykh and Kirill Kolmakov (oriental martial arts), Igor Kuznetsov and Sergey Pluzhnikov (powerlifting), Danila Krivolapov (belt wrestling), Slava Arkhipov (judo), Savely Solovyov (kudo).

The title is awarded to an athlete who has managed to take a prize place in official competitions and meet all the standards.
