Young athletes from the DPR won fifteen medals at interregional taekwondo competitions

The Republic was represented by wrestlers from Makeyevka and Donetsk.

The Ministry of Sports of the DPR congratulated the Donetsk residents who worthily represented the Republic at the Interregional Sports Competitions and the Taekwondo Colored Belt Festival (WTF) "Steppe Cup".

Large-scale competitions brought together athletes aged 12 to 21 from Crimea, Kalmykia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Sevastopol, the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics, the Volgograd, Rostov, Astrakhan regions and the Krasnodar Territory in Elista.

Following the tournament, athletes from Donetsk and Makeyevka, who competed for the DPR, won fifteen medals. Gold medals went to Roman Ten, Ivan Oleynikov, Igor Konstantinov and Alina Saenko. Silver medals can now be boasted by Klim Brudko, Anastasia Barzukova, Irina Troyan and Ilya Mazurok. And honorary bronze medals were brought to the Republic by Mikhail Goloshubov, Alexander Shalunov, Alexandra Azarova-Medved, Timur Serzhantov, Vladislav Gafurov. In addition, Donetsk residents Alexey Burlaka and Darya Samokish took third place among juniors.
